Sorry For The Alarm...

Heya guys

I must first off apologize for my cousin(well best friend) Jason and his stupid yet inexperienced actions last night. He has been in the AF for a little under a year, and he is scared shitless over here in iraq. Since i know that he is scared i have offered him the opportunity to read my blog and use my email account to correspond to family and friends back home. However i dont like him sending reply emails to people telling them about some of the issues that go on in iraq that i rarely bring up because my family would shit a ton if they knew all of it.
Last nite our bird expierenced some communication problems while dropping off an elite unit to do a mission and we were unheard from for quite some time. We are ok, but i have 70! OMG subject lines in my email bin. I politely cursed him out and now he knows. I was gonna post about something else, but since he decided to tell you about this, ill post about it.

Well it all started around cool down hot time in iraq. For all of you who dont know what cool down hot time is, ill tell you. Cool down hot time is when its still 109 fucking degrees, but better than the 120 degrees that people feel on a day to day basis. Anyhoo... I was sitting around eating on a piece of laffy taffy when i see a MP(military policewoman) come up to me and say that the Maj. wants to see NOW! So i swallow my taffy and head over to see the Maj. Now i knew that we played some pranks on some guys, but did i switch the Maj.'s shaving cream and put whip cream in it? Hmm I hope not.. So i get in there and im at attention and the Maj says that there is a mission that is forming together and he needs a voulnteer for the mission. I accepted, but i wasnt very happy about riding in other Helo's . Betty just feels right. Anyhow I strapped up, and went to the briefing. After the briefing we get on the "other" helo and head out. The pilot was cool and i was on board with alot of Navy Seals. I have worked with them before and they are pretty cool guys. I usually work with Seal Team 6, but i didnt work with them this time, but they are cool. So as we in flight, things just arent right...it just doesnt feel like it should! I fly on. We make it to the DZ and we safely delivered our package without incident and not a single shot fired. Impressive is what that is. So we then proceed to make radio contact with our friendlies and nothing. One of the worst things in the world is to be in the air without communication with other planes. I mean you have AF, Army,NAVY,USMC planes all flying together but with communication. So we flew and i had to be the look out. We didnt wanna pop smoke or anything because the enemy would have been all over us, so we tried to fly to other FOBs, but without any communication, we didnt wanna be blasted out of the sky for fear of not being able to respond to our own guys. So we decide that someone has to drop to the ground and grab some communication, so guess who goes. Sigh on the ground by myself in iraq and shit has finally set in that this is WAR! One million crazy motherfuckers against lil ole me :/ We came upon some Army guys in a remote loc in iraq and they dropped me down to them, we used there Communication to get Communication back to our FOB and we were escorted back home. I mean we broke every rule and law that the military has, but hey im alive. I dont wanna die, but especially by friendly fire. So i made it back home, scared alot of people with the email that my cousin sent and hey im back here tired and ready to go back out! Did i just say that i was tired and ready to go back out? :> Oh Well Stay safe and Sweet dreams

You do know now that every single day is going to be an alarm.. don't you? You've brought the worrying family on-board in full force.

But at least you have all of our prayers - so I know that is going to help bring you home safe.
