Delay in posting
Hey guys, sorry for the delay in posting. I have had quite a few things happen to me in the past four days. For starters, Air Force Pararescuemen(2) of them and 3(Combat Controllers including myself) were involved in an altercation with some marines who think that they are gods gift to the military and everyone else is just shit. Well i beg to differ. When climb in a pavehawk helo, my crew and i dont give a rats ass if you are army, navy, air force, or even the few land coasties(coast guard) that we have floating around. To me we are all brothers. I dont think that job or my choice of military branch makes me any better or any worse at my job. Now that i have vented on that point, let me tell ya what happened. Well Me(Hawk), the Sgt. and Senior Airman ended up taking a ride down the dangerous road known to have IEDs laid out as if it were women tanning on the beaches of cali. We had to ride with the marines, and they werent to thrilled about it because some of there buddies were split up or left at the base, and they didnt know us, nor did they try to make any conversation with us providing that we had 2 medics on board and a hell of a marksman, they didnt care. The Sgt. tried to make some contact with the marines and they were very short and there attitudes showed us that they didnt care for us. There was one guy by the name of Williams. He was a tall slender black guy that kinda popped it off when the Senior Airman asked him how he liked the corps. Well that guy williams came back with a smart response and said well its better than sitting inside the AC shuffling papers all day, and the whole Humvee burst into laughter. Well this Senior Airman, jefferson is a smart ass to the tee. He is Italian and he knows the lingo very well and he has taught us a few words here and there especially when we are being shot at with RPGS(which i hate) and small arms fire. Well Jefferson starts talking to us(the air force guys) in Italian, and we start to respond back and burst into laughter. The Tech Sgt. Rodessa didnt like that shit at all, he knew a confrontation would occur, but after a few tense moments and the uncontrollable laughter between me and my comrades he suprisngly joined in because it was a moment to die for. So now we have the whole Humvee if marines looking at us as if we just joined the insurgency or soemthing and we started to simmer down. Then the driver, Gonzales says"what do you think this is", a game? If you cant be a man a say what you said so everyone can understand then Shut the Fuck Up Flyboy! At that point we all knew that they didnt like us because we were blue and they wore green(at home). So me the analytical guy that i am, jumps in the conversation and i state.. Yes we are fly boys, but sometimes we dont fly...we were trained by all branches of the United States Military so i feel that we are the best of the best, and you should be damn lucky to ride with more medics than usual, and a trained marksman. So lay off your high horse and lets work together. Well there was so much tension in the humvee, i dont think 10 IEDs could have damaged us or our convoy. Now that we are half way through the convoy, the rest of the way is silent among the marines and the Tech Sgt is telling us who we will be detached with and for how long!. Well nod and stay along for the ride. Well upon entering our new location, we arrive safely and i say a prayer once again to thank the lord for making me arrive safely, and we all proceed to fall out of that oven that we were just riding in. Well everyone got out except me and that guy Williams, and upon exiting the vehicle, he pushes me and i fall to the ground with my weapon in hand and he says oops sorry for getting you dirty Mr. Airman. Now that just pissed me off beyond belief! So i get up and before i can do anything, the damn Italian boy from jersey has just opened up a can of good ole fashioned whoop ass, and as i try to break it up i am socked in the gut! So i return blows and finally someone fired a shot and broke it all up! We were escorted by military police to the Lt.Col of the loc and chewed out royally. There was no telling about who did what or why it happened, we just got blamed for it all and had to take it like men. Well im fine to that, but to anyone who reads this military or not, i firmly belive that we should all work together to get out of this hellhole alive and not try to down another servicemember because you never know when that guy may just save your life!
